Brief analysis of the causes of cracking in the production of glass products

Glass products are the general name of household and industrial products processed with glass as the main raw material. Usually, the tea sets, wine sets and daily necessities we use are all made of glass. Today, let’s popularize a common phenomenon in the production process – crack.
In fact, the glass products will break on the mesh belt of the annealing furnace. This phenomenon cannot be simply said that the annealing furnace temperature is too low or too high, nor that the annealing time of the products is too long or too short. It should be analyzed from many aspects:
First: crack caused by poor stress relief during annealing. It is necessary to study and judge whether the product is in the heating high temperature stage for too long, the holding stage for too short, or the annealing time is not enough.
Second, carefully observe the melting uniformity of the glass. If the impurities such as stripes and stones on the product are serious, this structural stress cannot be eliminated during the annealing process, which will cause the product to crack.
Third, if there are scratches and small cracks caused by collision on the glass products before entering the annealing furnace, they can cause cracks when the thermal stress is removed in the annealing furnace.
Fourth, the material properties of glass products do not match, resulting in cracks.
Fifth, the crack caused by glass crystallization. If ordinary soda-lime glass products stay in the temperature range of 750-900 ℃ for a long time during the manufacturing process, it will cause crystallization, and it is easy to crack when entering the annealing furnace.
Behind the bright and beautiful, we will have a beautiful product to show before our eyes. Appreciating the beauty of glass products, like drinking tea, requires careful taste, experience, identify subtle changes, and find more delicate beauty… The best things will return to life, and let us find more beauty from life.
